Phase II: One night per week for three hours, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Wednesday for 8 weeks or until 8 sessions have been attended.   Clients must attend individual counseling session every other week, or as the counselor sees fit.  Twelve step participation is required in Phase II as well.

Program requirements for Phase I and II, both day and night group include:

‚Äč

  • Abstinence from all mood-altering chemicals

  • A clinical assessment

  • Group and individual sessions

  • Community based support group involvement

A multidisciplinary approach is used utilizing cognitive behavioral strategies with twelve-step emphasis, relapse prevention, education, planning, and community integration.

Group sessions consist of a gathering of fellow individuals in the program who get together with the supervision of their counselor to talk about issues relevant to their recovery.  Group participation offers clients an opportunity to share with one another, and offer suggestions as to how each person can achieve recovery success.  Many individuals report significant breakthroughs just from having someone to talk to who knows what they have been through.

Additionally, the counselors at the Arrowhead Center, Inc. recognize that individual counseling is a crucial part of our rehabilitation program.  Counseling and therapy sessions are the best way to address the root issues behind an individual’s addiction.  Unless these core issues are addressed, treatment will be little more than “putting a bandage” on the problem.
